Women's Wrestling Competes in Day Two of the National Championship

Jamestown, N.D., (Mar. 9, 2024)- The No. 13 Missouri Valley College women’s wrestling team competed in day two at the 2024 NAIA Women’s Wrestling National Championship in Jamestown, N.D., Saturday. The Vikings were led by Freshman Serenity De La Garza (McAllen, Texas) who placed eighth at 143 pounds.

Jamestown, N.D., (March 7, 2024)- The Missouri Valley College women’s wrestling team is set for the 2024 NAIA Women’s Wrestling National Championship beginning Friday and lasting through Saturday, hosted by Jamestown (N.D.) in Jamestown, N.D. Eight Vikings will compete for a National championship.

Oskaloosa, Iowa, (Feb. 24, 2024)- The No. 13 Missouri Valley College women’s wrestling team competed at the Heart of America Athletic Conference Championship in Oskaloosa, Iowa, Saturday. The team was led by two individual champions, with a total of five Vikings earning an automatic qualifying berth into the 2024 NAIA Women’s Wrestling National Championship.

No. 14 Women's Wrestling Tops Central Methodist in Home Dual

Marshall, Mo. (Feb. 13, 2024)- The No. 14 Missouri Valley College women’s wrestling team hosted Central Methodist (Mo.) in its final Heart of America Athletic Conference dual of the regular season, Tuesday evening inside the Burns Athletic Complex. The Vikings battled to come back from a deficit and earned a 27-20 victory.
No. 14 Women's Wrestling Competes at the Midland Warrior Open

Fremont, Neb., (Feb. 10, 2024)- The No. 14 Missouri Valley College women’s wrestling team traveled to Fremont, Neb., Saturday, for the Midland (Neb.) Warrior Open. The Vikings competed against programs from multiple collegiate divisions at the event. Leading the Vikings were No. 11 Junior Hailey Holland (San Bernardino, Calif.) who won at 109 pounds and Senior Aniseta Acosta (Sacramento, Calif.) who also won at 136 pounds.

No. 19 Women's Wrestling Defeats No. 16 St. Mary on Senior Night

Marshall, Mo., (Feb. 6, 2024)- The No. 19 Missouri Valley College women’s wrestling team hosted No. 16 St. Mary (Kan.) in a Senior Night dual inside the Burns Athletic Complex, Tuesday evening. The Vikings won nine of the ten weight classes, including four victories by pin to defeat the Spires, 44-5.

Des Moines, Iowa, (Feb. 3, 2024)- The No. 19 Missouri Valley College women’s wrestling team continued its season, Saturday, at the Grand View (Iowa) Open. The Vikings competed against NCAA Division I, and II, along with NAIA programs. Leading the Vikings were Freshman Tylah Allen (Jonesboro, Ark.) who placed third at 170 pounds in the Silver Division and No. 12 Junior Hailey Holland (San Bernardino, Calif.) who finished fourth at 109 pounds in the Gold Division.

Forest City, Iowa, (Jan. 22, 2024)- The Missouri Valley College women’s wrestling team traveled to Forest City Iowa, to compete against Waldorf (Iowa) and No. 8 William Penn, Monday evening for Heart of America Athletic Conference duals. The Vikings won the opener against Waldorf (Iowa), 35-10 and defeated No. 8 William Penn in the second dual, 40-6.

Iowa City, Iowa, (Jan. 21, 2024)- The Missouri Valley College women's wrestling team traveled to Iowa City, Iowa, Sunday afternoon for the Iowa Hawkeye Duals. This was an historic event that featured the No. 1 ranked teams in NAIA and NCAA Division I women's wrestling, along with Missouri Valley as the first program to ever offer collegiate scholarships in the sport of women's wrestling. The Vikings fell to both No. 1 Iowa and No. 1 Life (Ga.).
