NEXTT (Vivature) Forms:
As a student-athlete planning on participating in athletics (in-season, off-season, weight lifting, or conditioning activities) at Missouri Valley College IT IS MANDATORY that you fill out either the NEW ATHLETE MEDICAL FORM or the RETURNER ATHLETE MEDICAL FORM, provide PROOF OF INSURANCE* for the entire school year, and have a PRE-PARTICIPATION PHYSICAL FORM submitted and completed before you are ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE.
*(It is the responsibility of the Parent/Guardian/Participant to determine if the insurance the student-athlete is currently covered under is adequate for athletic participation and will cover the student-athlete in the state of Missouri at Missouri Valley College. Should the insurance not cover athletics or in the state of Missouri all medical bills will be the responsibility of the parent/guardian/participant. The student-athlete must be covered during all participation of any type of sport/team related activity throughout the entire 10 month school year (Aug 1st-May 31st).

Head Athletic Trainer Joshua Laird MS, LAT, ATC
Josh is from Illinois and is entering his 8th year of being an athletic trainer.
Josh began his college education at Culver-Stockton College where he received his bachelors in athletic training in May of 2018. Since graduating he has been a part of the Missouri Valley College staff, August of 2018, starting as a graduate assistant where he earned his Master’s of Exercise Science degree, with a focus in sports performance training which he graduated with in May 2020. He took over the position of head athletic trainer in January of 2024. Over the years he has gotten to work with a variety of sports including; Football, Baseball, Softball, Volleyball, Basketball, Soccer, Lacrosse, Wrestling, Cheer, Dance, Golf, Bowling, Track & Field, Powerlifting/Weight Lifting sports, Ice Hockey and Rodeo.
Josh’s Primary Sports are: Football (OL & TE), Women’s Volleyball, Men’s Wrestling, Baseball & Men’s/Women’s Tennis

Assistant Head Athletic Trainer Jordyn Vrba MAT, LAT, ATC
Jordyn is from Dixon, Missouri and is entering her 4th year of being an athletic trainer.
Jordyn began her education at East Central College where she played softball and received her associates degree in 2018. Later she transferred to Missouri State University (MSU) to finish her undergraduate degree in Exercises & Movement Science in 2020. In 2022, she received her Master’s in Athletic Training from MSU as well. Following graduation she accepted a position at Missouri Valley College as an athletic trainer and instructor for the exercises science department. In July of 2024 Jordyn accepted the position of Assistant Head Athletic Trainer. Through her certified years, Jordyn has worked with a variety of sports including; Women’s and Men’s Volleyball, Women’s and Men’s Soccer, Men’s and Women’s Rodeo, Dance, Softball (NAIA and Professional), Track & Field, Cross Country, Men’s and Women’s Wrestling, Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse, and Football.

Athletic Trainer Sheilaika Agbayani MAT, LAT, ATC
Sheilaika is from Lahaina, Hawaii. She is in her first year as a certified Athletic Trainer.
Sheilaika began her college education as a student-athlete at Edmonds College in Lynwood, WA where she earned her Associate of Arts in June 2020. She then earned her Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science at Missouri Valley College in Marshall, MO in May 2023 where she was part of the women’s basketball team. During her time at Missouri Valley she completed 200 internship hours. Sheilaika earned her Master of Athletic Training degree at Culver-Stockton College in Canton, MO in May 2025. During the program she has gained experience working a variety of sports (football, men’s soccer, men's/women’s basketball, men’s/women’s wrestling, baseball, softball, men’s/women’s volleyball) at different levels (Junior College, NAIA, and NCAA Division 2).

Athletic Trainer Nathan Shepard MAT, LAT, ATC
Nathan is from Warrenton, Missouri who is in his first year as a certified Athletic Trainer. Nathan attended Warrenton High School where he played baseball and was also part of the FFA trapshooting team.
Nathan attended Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri where he earned his Bachelors in Exercise Science and a Minor in Nutrition. He was a student athlete as a left-handed pitcher at Westminster for 3 years because of entering the accelerated program affiliated with Culver-Stockton College. While playing at Westminster, he did 250 internship hours throughout numerous sports such as football, soccer, baseball, softball, basketball, and volleyball. Nathan has recently completed his Master of Athletic Training Degree through Culver-Stockton College in May of 2025. During his 1st year in the program, he worked with a variety of sports such as football, soccer, baseball, softball, and basketball. This was throughout a variety of levels such as JUCO, NAIA, and Division-II. During his 2nd year in the program, he transitioned to The University of Missouri’s Football immersion program for the fall season of 2024, and also The University of Missouri’s Softball immersion program for the spring of 2025.

Gabriel Dierks Machado MAT, LAT, ATC
Gabriel Dierks Machado was born in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. He moved to the US to be a student-athlete at Missouri Valley College, studying Exercise Science while playing basketball. He earned his Bachelors in 2023, and finished his Master's of Athletic Training in May 2025 - In Canton, Missouri for Culver-Stockton College.
During his Master's program, he gained experience working multiple levels (NAIA, NCAA D2 & D1) in most Men & Women sports, such as Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball, Wrestling, Track & Field, Baseball, Softball, Football, Tennis, Dance, and Golf.
His highlight was working with the University of Missouri, Kansas City Men's Basketball team, where he spent most part of his 2nd year with.

Morgan Dierks Machado MAT, LAT, ATC
Morgan Dierks Machado was born in Dallas, Texas and has lived in Kansas City, Kansas since 2015. She is in her first year as a certified Athletic Trainer.
Morgan began her college education at Missouri Valley College where she was a part of the women’s soccer team and was a three-time All American. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science in December 2022 and her Master of Athletic Training degree at Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri in May 2025. During the program she gained experience in a variety of sports (men’s/women’s soccer, men’s/women’s lacrosse, men’s/women’s basketball, track and field, baseball, softball, men’s wrestling, women’s volleyball, football, women’s tennis, men’s golf, cheer, dance) at various levels (NAIA, NCAA DII, and NCAA DI).
