Spring NAIA Scholar Athletes Recognized, New Department Record Set

Marshall, Mo., (May 23, 2024)- Missouri Valley College spring athletic teams have produced 40 Daktronics NAIA Scholar Athletes for the 2024 spring sports season spread across 11 separate programs. Softball produced the most scholar athletes of the spring season, with 11 student-athletes recognized. A combined 115 student-athletes were recognized with the award for the 2023-24 academic year, setting a new record department record.

Grand View, Iowa, (April 17, 2024)- The No. 11 Missouri Valley College men’s volleyball team traveled to Des Moines, Iowa for a Heart of America Athletic Conference Postseason Championship semifinal match with No. 5 Grand View (Iowa), Wednesday evening. Missouri Valley extended the match with a win in game three, but fell by scores of 22-25, 18-25, 29-27, 22-25.

The Vikings fell behind early, but won the match by scores of 20-25, 25-17, 25-23, 25-23. We last defeated Grand View on Feb. 23, 2016 in a 3-0 sweep.
