Spring NAIA Scholar Athletes Recognized, New Department Record Set

Marshall, Mo., (May 23, 2024)- Missouri Valley College spring athletic teams have produced 40 Daktronics NAIA Scholar Athletes for the 2024 spring sports season spread across 11 separate programs. Softball produced the most scholar athletes of the spring season, with 11 student-athletes recognized. A combined 115 student-athletes were recognized with the award for the 2023-24 academic year, setting a new record department record.
Tennis Puts Five Student-Athletes on All-Conference Team

Marshall, Mo., (April 24, 2024)- The Missouri Valley College men’s and women’s tennis teams have put five of their student-athletes on the 2024 All-Conference Team, made up of programs from the Heart of America Athletic Conference, American Midwest Conference and Sooner Athletic Conference.
Tennis Teams Compete at Conference Tournament Wednesday

St. Louis, Mo., (April 24, 2024)- The Missouri Valley College men’s and women’s tennis teams competed in the first day of their conference tournaments, Wednesday, at the Dwight Davis Tennis Center in St. Louis, Mo. The men’s team was seeded No. 2, and earned a 4-0 quarterfinal win over Baker (Kan.), followed by loss to No. 3 seed Missouri Baptist in the semifinals. The women’s team was seeded No. 5 and fell in the quarter finals, 4-3, to No. 4 seeded John Brown (Ark.).

Baldwin City, Kan., (April 21, 2024)- The Missouri Valley College men?s and women?s tennis teams traveled to Baldwin City, Kan., for matches against Baker (Kan.) to close the regular season. The men's team earned a 7-0 victory, and the women's team won, 5-2, in matches.

Marshall, Mo., (April 11, 2024)- The Missouri Valley College men’s and women’s tennis teams hosted Missouri Baptist in matches at Indian Foothills Park, Thursday, against Missouri Baptist. The men’s team finished out a 6-1 victory in matches, while the women’s team fell, 5-2.

Marshall, Mo., (April 6, 2024)- The Missouri Valley College men’s and women’s tennis teams played back-to-back contests this week, taking on Grand View (Iowa) at home and traveling to Siloam Springs, Ark., to play John Brown (Ark.). Both teams swept past Grand View in 7-0 wins, followed by the men’s team defeating John Brown, 6-1, while the women’s team fell, 4-3 in matches.

The women’s team lost by a 0-5 score against Newman (Kan.), and then fell, 0-7 in matches against Quincy (Ill.).
