
Eighteen Programs Recognized on NAIA Scholar Teams List
Marshall, Mo., (Sept. 15, 2024)- Eighteen Missouri Valley College athletic programs were recognized on the 2023-24 NAIA Scholar Teams list, which was released Friday by the NAIA.
To be eligible for this honor, varsity teams must have a minimum grade-point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for the 2023-24 academic year. The team grade-point average includes all eligible varsity student-athletes.

Competitive Dance
Men's Soccer
Women's Soccer
Men's Golf
Women's Golf
Men's Volleyball
Women's Volleyball
Softball
Men's Basketball
Women's Basketball
Men's Tennis
Women's Tennis
Women's Indoor Track & Field
Women's Outdoor Track & Field
Men's Wrestling
The women's volleyball team posted the highest GPA during the academic year, at 3.73, followed by the women's tennis team at 3.56. The 18 programs recognized is the second-highest total for the Athletic Department, trailing 19 programs recognized last year.
Missouri Valley finished third in the Heart of America Athletic Conference in the number of NAIA Scholar Teams for the academic year. Since the 2006-07 academic year, 162 Missouri Valley athletic teams have been recognized as NAIA Scholar Teams.
