Fayette, Mo. (Feb. 5, 2025)- The Missouri Valley College men’s and women’s wrestling teams traveled to Fayette, Mo., for a Heart of America Athletic Conference dual doubleheader, Wednesday evening. The No. 18 men’s team earned a 22-14 win against No. 16 Central Methodist, taking six of the contest weight classes. The No. 10 women’s team won seven of the ten weight classes, including four victories by pin to defeat the No. 18 Eagles, 33-14.

The Vikings competed against programs from multiple collegiate divisions at the event. The team was led by Freshman Aniya Herbin who finished third at 207 pounds, No. 2 Senior Kelani Corbett who placed fourth at 180 pounds and No. 6 Senior Ashley Whetzal who finished fifth at 131 pounds.
