Fifty Missouri Valley College Fall Sport Student-Athletes Earn NAIA Scholar Athlete Honors

Marshall, Mo., (Dec. 14, 2023)- Missouri Valley College fall athletic teams have produced 50 Daktronics NAIA Scholar Athletes for the 2023 fall sports season spread across six separate programs. Leading the teams was men’s soccer, which finished the season with 19 individuals recognized.

No. 13 Women's Soccer Falls in Penalty Kick Shootout to Hastings

Marshall, Mo., (Nov. 18, 2023)- The No. 13 seed Missouri Valley College women’s soccer team hosted Hastings (Neb.) in the second round of the 2023 NAIA Women’s Soccer National Championship Saturday afternoon inside Volney C. Ashford Stadium. In the team’s first-ever home National tournament game, the Vikings went in front early, but eventually lost in a penalty kick shootout.
Unprecedented Soccer Event Saturday at Missouri Valley College

Ashford Stadium, Saturday, as both men’s and women’s soccer teams host NAIA National tournament games for the first time in school history. Missouri Valley College students, faculty and staff with valid MVC ID will have free admission to the games.

Fayette, Mo., (Nov. 11, 2023)- The No. 2 seed Missouri Valley College women’s soccer team traveled to Fayette, Mo., to play No. 1 seed Central Methodist (Mo.) in the championship game of the 2023 Heart of America Athletic Conference Women’s Soccer Postseason Tournament, Presented by WinWon Technologies, Saturday afternoon. The Vikings went on top early, and scored a late goal to secure a 3-2 win, and the tournament title.

Marshall, Mo., (Nov. 8, 2023)- The Missouri Valley College women’s soccer team hosted MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.) in the semifinal round of the 2023 Heart of America Athletic Conference Women’s Soccer Postseason Tournament, Presented by WinWon Technologies, Wednesday evening. The No. 2 seed Vikings trailed early in the second half, but scored twice late in the game to secure a 2-1 win over the No. 3 seed Pioneers and advance to the championship game.

In a Nationally ranked women's game, the No. 20 Vikings earned a 2-1 victory over the No. 24 Ravens. The No. 13 men's team suffered a late 1-0 defeat.

The No. 20 women’s team finished out a 2-0 victory, while the No. 16 men’s team scored a pair of goals in the second half to earn a 2-0 win, and secure an outright regular season Heart title.
