Bio

Coach Kevin Corbett enters his second season as the head women’s wrestling coach at Missouri Valley College. In his first season at Missouri Valley, Coach Corbett produced two individual All- Americans, nine national qualifiers and led the team to a top 15 finish.

Prior to Missouri Valley Corbett served as the Head Coach at Lyon College for 5 seasons. While at Lyon College, Coach Corbett produced two National Champions, one Olympic qualifier, two World Team Trials qualifiers, 13 All- Americans and a Sooner Athletic Conference team championship. In 2020, Coach Corbett was also named Sooner Athletic Conference “Coach of the Year”.

Coach Corbett competed collegiately for Doane University and Fresno City College. Corbett was a three-time regional Champion, two-time CCCAA Finalist for Fresno City and two-time NAIA All-American for Doane University. While at Fresno City, Coach Corbett was part of a Team Championship (2012) where his team had won their third championship in a row. 

 

Prior to college, Coach Corbett lived in Honolulu, Hawaii where he was a two-time state placer for James Campbell High School (Ewa Beach, HI) and Radford High School (Honolulu, HI).

Corbett holds a Bronze Coaching Card Certification for USA Wrestling.

Corbett graduated from Doane University with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Special Education and Physical Education. He also holds an Associates of Arts degree in Social Sciences.

Coach Corbett is married to his wife, Julieta, who is a former collegiate wrestler, served in the U.S. Army for 9 years and is currently working on her Nursing degree at Missouri  Valley.
