Bio
Nick Lutz took over as Head Coach for the Missouri Valley College cheer program in the spring of 2019, and has guided the program to a high level of success. The cheer program has captured Heart of America Athletic Conference Championships in all of the seasons he has coached (2020, 2021, 2022, 2023), and earned berths into the NAIA Competitive Cheer National Championships in each of those seasons. The team finished fourth in 2021, tenth in 2022 and tenth in 2023.
Prior to his time at Missouri Valley, Lutz was an instructor with UCA since 2015, traveling to coach at camps for both high school and collegiate cheer programs. He was on the University of Kansas cheerleading staff in 2016 and became a Blue Medallion Instructor with International Cheer Union in 2018. Lutz was also a member of the Morehead State UCA National Championship teams in 2017 and 2018, and was part of a UCA Collegiate Partner Stunt National Championship in 2017. He graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in journalism.
