Cheer Team Wins Eight-Straight Heart Conference Title

Baldwin City, Kan., (Mar. 9, 2024)- The Missouri Valley College cheer team has captured the 2024 Heart of America Athletic Conference Competitive Cheer Championship, giving the program its eight-straight conference title. The Vikings finished with a final score of 90.00.

 

Missouri Valley opened with a score of 89.73 to finish with the top score in the preliminary competition, followed by MidAmerica (Kan.) with an 84.73 score, and Grand View (Iowa) third with a score of 82.08.

The Vikings improved their score in the final round of performances, and finished with a final score of 90.00 to win the conference title. Missouri Valley finished three points ahead of the second place team, MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.).

  3. Grand View (Iowa)- 82.57

  4. Baker University- 78.01

  5. William Penn (Iowa)- 76.53

  6. Mount Mercy (Iowa)- 71.31

  7. Peru State (Neb.)- 69.33

  8. Benedictine (Kan.)- 66.55

  9. Graceland (Iowa)- 45.13

 

Up next, the competitive cheer team will compete in the 2024 NAIA Competitive Cheer National Championship that takes place Mar. 29-30 in Ypsilanti, Mich.
