Baseball Drops Road Game at William Woods

Fulton, Mo., (Feb. 27, 2024)- The Missouri Valley College baseball team made a trip to Fulton, Mo., Tuesday afternoon, for a non-conference game with William Woods (Mo.).  The Vikings produced 16 hits, five walks and 15 runs on a loss to the Owls.

 

Leading the way for Missouri Valley was Senior Shortstop Josias Mogollon (Bloomfield, Iowa), who finished with two hits, three runs and three RBI's.  Senior Centerfielder Ivory Daniels (Little Rock, Ark.) totaled two hits, two runs, one RBI and a home run.  Junior Rightfielder Luke Stoner (Rockford, Ill.) totaled two hits, two runs, four RBI's and one home run.  Junior Leftfielder Hiroto Kobayashi (Saitama, Japan) added two hits, two runs and one RBI, while Designated Hitter Mason Baer (Roselle, Ill.) had two hits, one run and one RBI.  The Vikings fell by a final score of 35-15.

 

Missouri Valley drops to 5-3 on the season and William Woods moves to 9-6.

 

Up next, the Vikings open play in the Heart of America Athletic Conference with a four-game series in Baldwin City, Kan., against Baker (Kan.).  Series opens with a doubleheader Saturday at 1 p.m.
