Women's Lacrosse Puts Three on All-Conference Team
Marshall, Mo., (April 17, 2024)- The Missouri Valley College women's lacrosse team has put three of its student-athletes on the 2024 Heart of America Athletic Conference All-Conference Team, released Wednesday.
The trio of Freshman Attack Hailey Davis (Maryville, Tenn.), Freshman Attack Atleigh Lark (Alma, Mo.) and Freshman Defender Miranda Wilson (Idaho Falls, Idaho) were all named to the all-conference second team. All three earned all-conference recognition for the first time in their careers at Missouri Valley.
Davis led the team with 28 goals on the season, to go with a team-high five assists and 33 total points. She also finished first on the team in caused turnovers (13), shots (48), shots on goal (38), and draw controls (29), along with 23 ground balls. Her 28 goals scored are second-most in a single-season in program-history.
Lark was second on the team with four assists and 12 total points to go with eight goals on the season, finishing with a team-high .824 shots on goal percentage. She was also third in caused turnovers with 12 and collected 11 ground balls.
Wilson totaled six goals and one assist on the season while collecting 17 ground balls and causing 21 turnovers.
The women's lacrosse team finished with the most overall wins and conference wins since the 2019 season, going 2-7 overall, and 1-4 in the Heart under first-year Head Coach James Davis.
