Ashley Arribas Named Women's Soccer All-American

Marshall, Mo., (Dec. 11, 2023)- A Missouri Valley College women's soccer student-athlete has been recognized on the 2023 NAIA Women's Soccer All-America Team, released Monday.

Sophomore Forward Ashley Arribas (Lake Forest, Calif.) has been named as a third team All-American by the NAIA.  Arribas set a program-record with 20 goals this season, and added 42 total points.  She led the Heart of America Athletic Conference in goals and was second overall in total points.  Arribas also set a program-record with scoring at least one goal in 13-straight games this season.

Arribas becomes the program's first student-athlete to earn an NAIA first, second or third team All-America selection since Malin Gollwitzer in 2005.  She becomes the eleventh selection for the program overall since 2012.  Earlier this season, Arribas was named the Heart Offensive Player of the Year.

Arribas helped the women's soccer team to the program's first Heart Postseason Tournament title and a fourth-straight NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship appearance.  The team finished its season with a 15-4-3 overall record.
