Shooting Sports Competes at MYSSA Fall Classic

Linn Creek, Mo., (Oc. 9, 2023)- The Missouri Valley College shooting sports team recently competed at the Missouri Youth Sport Shooting Alliance Fall Classic in Linn, Creek, Mo.  The team finished second overall with one individual in the top three of the standings.

 

In trap, Missouri Valley finished second with a 448/500 total, led by Freshman Jack Duffin (Novato, Calif.) with a 96/100 to finish second in the event.  Freshman Dakota Zaugg (Santa Maria, Calif.) and Junior Charlie Maddox (Forest, Va.) each totaled a 91/100, while Sophomore Ely Allen (Carrollton, Mo.) had an 86/100 and Freshman Paige Burns (Trail, Minn.) finished with an 84/100.

 

In sporting clays, the Vikings placed second with a 395/500, led by Maddox with an 88/100.  Zaugg had an 83/100 total, while Duffin finished with an 82/100.  Allen and Freshman Dylan Kempker (Eldon, Mo.) totaled a 71/100 each.

 

Maddox finished third in the high overall standings with a 179/200.  The team finished second behind Drury (Mo.).

 

Up next, the team competes at the William Penn (Iowa) 300, Friday at the Marion County Sportsman Club in Knoxville, Iowa, and Saturday at the Black Oak Clays in Pella, Iowa.
