Women's Basketball Drops Road Game at Friends

Wichita, Kan., (Dec. 30, 2023)- The Missouri Valley College women's basketball team got back into action Saturday afternoon with a game in Wichita, Kan., against Friends (Kan.).  The Vikings fell in the non-conference contest.

 

Leading the team was Junior Maddie Ferrara (Hendersonville, Tenn.) who finished with eight points.  Junior Noa Fernandez (Castraneda, Spain) totaled seven points and nine rebounds, while Sophomore Sophie Sullvan (Lombard, Ill.) added seven points and six rebounds.  Missouri Valley forced 19 turnovers and scored 27 points from the bench.

 

Missouri Valley fell to Friends by a final score of 86-54, and now sit at 8-4 overall.  Friends improves to 8-4 on the season.

 

Up next, the Viking women's basketball team will return to Heart of America Athletic Conference play, going to Fayette, Mo., for a game with Central Methodist (Mo.), Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.  The men's game follows at 7:30 p.m.
