Tennis Teams Both Top Judson in Home Matches
Marshall, Mo., (Sept. 23, 2023)- The Missouri Valley College men's and women's tennis teams hosted Judson (Ill.) in matches at Indian Foothills Park Saturday. In a contest impacted by weather, the Vikings earned a 4-0 win in men's matches, and a 6-1 win in women's matches.

No. 1-Senior Kaito Tanitsu (Dunma, Japan)/Junior Yago Calduch (Vinaros, Spain) defeated Chadd Kerrigan/Moosa Choudhary, 6-4.
No. 2-Freshman Sergio Martinez/Alecson Deshamps (Bluemenau, Brazil) defeated Nicolas Donoso/Joshua Bavich, 6-4.
No. 3-Freshman David Schlageter (Meerbusch, Germany)/Freshman Thomas Desgris (Annecy, France) lost to Alexandre Veltkamp/Jerez Rinehart, 2-6.
Singles:
No. 1-Senior Jacopo Sottocornola (Ancona, Italy) defeated Veltkamp, 6-4, 6-4.
No. 2-Martinez defeated Donoso, 7-6, 7-6.
No. 3-Tanitsu defeated Kerrigan, 2-6, 6-1, 10-8.
No. 4-Freshman Alvaro Ruiz did not finish due to weather.
