Men's Lacrosse Opens Conference Play at No. 9 St. Ambrose

Davenport, Iowa, (March 13, 2024)-  The Missouri Valley College men's lacrosse team traveled to Davenport, Iowa, to play No. 9 St. Ambrose (Iowa) in the first Heart of America Athletic Conference contest of the season.

Sophomore Carson Willey (Carstairs, Alberta) scored one goal for Missouri Valley, and added three ground balls.  Junior Aleix Costa (Barcelona, Spain) led with six ground balls in the game.  Junior Goalkeeper Jake Lipscomb (Boiling Springs, S.C.) made 23 saves in the contest.  Missouri Valley forced 12 turnovers in the game, and came up with 23 ground balls.  The Vikings fell by a final score of 23-1.

Missouri Valley drops to 0-3 overall and 0-1 in the Heart.  St. Ambrose improves to 4-1 on the season and 1-0 in the conference..

Up next, the Viking men's lacrosse team travels to Dubuque, Iowa for a Heart game with Clarke (Iowa), March 23.
