More Than 80 Student-Athletes Named to Heart Scholar List

Marshall, Mo., (July 18, 2023)- Missouri Valley College student-athletes have been recognized by the Heart of America Athletic Conference as Heart Scholar Athletes for the 2022-23 academic year.

A total of 85 student-athletes earned the honor.  In all, 21 athletic programs had at least one student-athlete recognized.  Honorees must have been on the varsity roster, maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher, accumulated a minimum of 60 credit hours, completed at least five semesters, and attended Missouri Valley for at least two semesters.

Both women's soccer and women's volleyball led all programs with eight total honorees respectively.  Softball followed with seven honorees.  The 85 student-athletes was third-most in all of the Heart, trailing only Grand View (Iowa) (137 honorees) and Baker (Kan.) (89).
