Cross Country Starts Season at Mizzou XC Opener

Columbia, Mo. (August 30, 2024)- The Missouri Valley College cross country program began its 2024 season competing at the Mizzou XC Opener in Columbia, Mo., Friday morning.

 

The meet took place at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia, Mo.  Three members of the women's team competed in the 5k race.

 

The team was led by Sophomore Jozelynn Bostick (Centralia, Mo.), who finished at No. 33 overall in a time of 20:53.  Freshman Brynna Wentland (Higginsville, Mo.) followed at No. 35 with a time of 30:32 and Freshman Emily Dolberry (Arlington, Texas) placed at No. 36 in a time of 31:29.

 

Up next, the Viking cross country team will compete at the Columbia (Mo.) Invite, Sept. 20 in Columbia, Mo.
