
Tennis Teams Fall in Matches at McPherson
McPherson, Kan., (March 10, 2025)- The Missouri Valley College men's and women's tennis teams traveled to McPherson (Kan.) for non-conference matches, Monday afternoon. The men's team fell, 4-3 in matches, while the women's team lost, 5-2.

No. 1-Junior Alecson Deschamps (Bluemenau, Brazil)/Sophomore Axel Duclos (Auch, France) lost to Celien Botlan/Oscar Brouwer, 3-6.
No. 2-Sophomore Bodgan Zakharov (Astana, Kazakhstan)/Sophomore Alvaro Ruiz (Barcelona, Spain) lost to Jayson Wasserfuhr/Arthur Nardy, 3-6.
No. 3-Freshman Felix Ortola (Madrid, Spain)/Sophomore David Schlageter (Meerbusch, Germany) lost to Texas Ranger Schmidt/Simon Delgadillo, 6-7.
Singles:
No. 1-Deschamps defeated Nardy, 6-4, 2-6, 6-4.
No. 2-Ruiz lost to Brouwer, 4-6, 3-6.
No. 3-Sophomore Marc Bueso (Manresa, Spain) lost to Botlan, 4-6, 3-6.
No. 4-Zakharov defeated Wasserfuhr, 1-6, 6-4, 6-3.

The men's team falls to 2-2, while the women's team sits at 2-1 on the season.
