Women's Golf Competes at Deere Run Invitational
Silvis, Ill., (Oct. 15, 2024)- The Missouri Valley College women's golf team competed at the Deere Run Invitational at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill. The team was led by one top 20 individual.
Leading the team was Junior Hanna Rieker (Munich, Germany), who finished with a three-round score of +46 (262). Rieker's low-round of the tournament was a +11 (83) in the second round. Sophomore Kendra Warden (Ontario, Canada) followed at No. 32 overall with a final score of +64 (280), and Freshman Victoria Menard Varela (Coruna, Spain) came in at No. 46 with a score of +88 (304). Junior Madison Mills (Willard, Mo.) and Freshman Sydney Righter (Camdenton, Mo.) both finished with scores of +95 (311) to place in a tie for No. 47.
As a team, the Vikings finished with a total score of +283 (1147). No. 13 Indiana Wesleyan won the tournament with a +123 (987).
Up next, the Viking men's and women's golf teams compete at the Heart Preview, Oct. 21-22 at The Nicklaus Golf Club at LionsGate in Overland Park, Kan.
