Bio

John takes over as the first head coach for the archery program in the spring of 2023.  He has served as assistant coach for the shooting sports program since 2017.  He has coached five All-Americans within the program, including a two-time All-American in archery, and four All-Americans in shotgun.  In 2022-23, he served on teh National Collegiate Shooting Sports Athletic Association National Council, and volunteers with youth in shooting sports, both in archery and shotgun.

He holds a Specialist degree in Education Administration, with 37 years in education, and over 25 years coaching various sports in high school and college.  He was a public school Superintendent for four years, building principal for three years, assistant principal for three years, interim athletic director in Texas, assistant athletic directir in Texas with 14 years in adminstrative roles in public education and college.
