No. 18 Men's Wrestling Tops Benedictine in Senior Night Dual

Marshall, Mo., (Feb. 7, 2025)- The No. 18 Missouri Valley College men's wrestling team hosted Benedictine (Kan.) in a Senior Night dual inside the Burns Athletic Complex.

 

125 pounds: No. 24 Sophomore Robert Albert (Cape Coral, Fla.) defeated Jacob Campbell in a 4-3 decision. Missouri Valley leads, 3-0. 


133 pounds: No. 13 Sophomore Haden Hernandez (Huntington Beach, Calif.) defeated J'Lee Collins in a second period (4:38) pin. Missouri Valley leads, 9-0.


141 pounds: No. 21 Senior Donovan Parn (Brookflied, Mo.) defeated Coulter Rieschieck in a first period (2:09) pin. Missouri Valley leads, 15-0.


149 pounds: Senior Bryson Anderson (Orting, Wash.) defeated Hayden Biggs in an 11-1 major decision. Missouri Valley leads, 19-0.


157 pounds: Senior Makoa Goeas (Kahalu'u, Hawaii) defeated Joe Insalaco in a 16-7 major decision. Missouri Valley leads, 23-0.


165 pounds: No. 23 Senior Brendan Parks (Crystal Lake, Ill.) defeated Vincent Carpena in a first period (1:51) pin. Missouri Valley leads, 29-0.


174 pounds: No. 5 Junior Francis Morrissey (Warner Robins, Ga.) defeated Christion Griggs in an 18-2 technical fall. Missouri Valley leads, 34-0.


184 pounds: Senior Shane Duckworth (Grain Valley, Mo.) lost to Oliver Scelza 16-5 major decision. Missouri Valley leads, 34-4.


197 pounds: Junior Emmanuel Ayi-Bonte (Woodbridge, Va.) defeated Doug Blaha in a 6-5 decision. Missouri Valley leads, 37-4.


285 pounds: Sophomore Jayden Joseph (Tuscaloosa, Ala.) defeated Jefferson Otter in a 5-1 decision. 

 

Missouri Valley defeats Benedictine, 40-4.

 

Missouri Valley sits at 11-5 on the season in duals.

 

Up next, the Viking men's wrestling team will compete at the Heart of America Athletic Conference Championship, Feb. 21-22 in Oskaloosa, Iowa.
