No. 14 Men's Wrestling Hosts MVC Open
Marshall, Mo., (Feb. 3, 2024)- The No. 14 Missouri Valley College men's wrestling team hosted the MVC Open inside the Burns Athletic Complex Saturday. The Vikings competed against programs from multiple collegiate divisions, including NCAA Division I, and Division II. Leading the team was Freshman Adrian Jimenez (Huntington Beach, Calif.) who finished 5th at 125 pounds.

"MVC Open was a great success with over 280 entries. Our young guys wrestle well with Adrian Jimenez at 125 pounds finishing in 5th place, and we also have a couple unattached wrestlers finishing in the top 8," said Coach Pat Giangrosso. "We face some tough competition this weekend from Division I, Division II and NAIA teams. The guys battle through all their matches. Now it is time to get ready for the postseason run. We will be back in the room working on the small details that make an impact at the end of the year".
