MISSOURI VALLEY COLLEGE TRACK AND FIELD TEAMS COMPETE AT THE MISSOURI S&T MINER INVITE
Rolla, Mo., (March. 23, 2024)- The Missouri Valley College men's and women's track and field teams compete at the Missouri S&T Miner Invite Saturday in Rolla, Mo.
Men's Results:
Freshman Matthew Fisher (Houston, Texas): placed 15th in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:00.11. He also placed 47th in the 200 meter dash with a time of 24.03.
Sophomore Derel Morris (New York, N.Y.): Placed 17th in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:00.62.
Freshman Joseph Lepak: placed 19th in the javelin throw with a distance of 47.66 meters.
Freshman Mac Dawkins (Spokane, Wash.): placed 20th in long jump with a distance of 6.19 meters.
Senior Khobi Kellerman (Auxvasse, Mo):placed 17th in the 5000 meter run with a time of 16:10.82. He also placed 25th in the 1500 meter run with a time of 4:10.31
Freshman Al'zaveon Harris: placed 26th in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.47. He also placed 25th in the 200 meter dash with a time of 23.17.
Freshman Jordan Ford (Dadeville, Ala): placed 29th in the 400 meter dash with a time of 56.29.
Freshman Evans Kiptoo: placed 72nd in the 1500 meter run with a time of 4:438.57. He also placed 33rd in the 5000 meter run with a time of 17:57.51.
4x100 meter relay (Buford, Fisher, Harris, Munoz) placed 10th with a time of 45.28.
Women's Results:
Freshman Jozelynn Bostick (Centralia, Mo): placed 1st in the 3000 meter run with a time of 12:30.78. She also placed 23rd in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:31.46.
Freshman Federica Gammarota (Sofoggia, Italy): placed 4th in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:09.67.
Junior Paula Romero Rodriguez (Madrid, Spain): placed 6th in the hammer throw with a distance of 45.80 meters. She also placed 11th in shot put with a distance of 11.63 meters and also placed 19th in discus with a distance of 35.11 meters.
Freshman Ahnesty Shurme (Tyler, Texas): placed 17th in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:04.51. She also placed 25th in the 200 meter dash with a time of 27.45.
Junior Kylie Linson (Troy, Mo.): placed 17th in the hammer throw with a distance of 40.09 meters. She also placed 21st in shot put with a distance of 10.76 meters.
Sophomore Emily Lechuga (LaPorte, Tx): placed 22nd in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:07.99. She also placed 15th in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:19.29.
Freshman Mya McKenzie (St. Louis, Mo.): placed 23rd in the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.44. As for field events, she placed 30th in long jump with a distance of 4.36 meters.
Freshman Choize Hysten (Topeka, Kan.): placed 24th in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:09.56. She also placed 34th in the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.88.
Emily Doleberry: placed 28th in triple jump with a distance of 4.45 meters.
Junior Arianna Loot (Bay City, Texas): placed 31st in the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.79 . She also placed 33rd in the 200 meter dash with a time of 27.89.
Freshman Alexis Neff: placed 33rd in the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.87. She also placed 47th in the 200 meter dash with a time of 29.33.
Freshman Isabella Kuenkamp (Warrensburg, Mo.): Kuenkamp placed 33rd in discus with a distance of 28.03 meter and also placed 40th in the hammer throw with a distance of 33.12 meters.
Freshman Zaya Dove (Kansas City, Mo): placed 35th in the 100 meter dash with a time of 14.02.
Junior Samantha Bitz (Marion, Ill.): placed 37th in the 100 meter dash with a time of 14.23. She also placed 45th in the 200 meter dash with a time of 28.90 . As for field events, she placed 33rd in the long jump with a distance of 4.29 meters.
4x100 meter relay (Loot, Shurme, Hysten, McKenzie) placed 7th overall with a time of 52.17.
Up next, the Viking track and field teams will continue their outdoor seasons at the CMU Invite, March 29-30, in Fayette, Mo.
