Bio

Jake Dennis joined the Missouri Valley College baseball program prior to the 2022 season.  Dennis was an all-conference player for the Sinclair (Ohio) Community College baseball team in 2017, and helped the team to an appearance at the 2018 NJCAA World Series.  He then spent two seasons playing for the Northern Kentucky baseball team in 2019 and 2020.  Dennis also was a graduate transfer to Coker (S.C.) University for the 2021 baseball season, and began his coaching career in the fall of that year, working with outfielders and pitchers. In 2022 he served as the Head Coach Licking County Settlers in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League. With the Settlers he became the youngest Manager in league history to win the South Division title. For Missouri Valley, Dennis will serve as the Pitching coach for a second straight season. In his first year as the Pitching Coach the staff posted a 6.99 ERA, the lowest ERA in a full season since 2018 and Relief Pitcher Tanner Hecht received All-Conference honors.

Dennis graduated from Sinclair with an Associates degree in social sciences.  He graduated from Northern Kentucky in 2020 with a Bachelor's degree in business administration, and earned his Master's of Science in Collegiate Athletic Administration and Coaching from Coker in December of 2021.
