Bio
Bill is a native of Slater, Missouri, and graduated Cum Laude from Missouri Valley College in 1949. Bill was a four-year letterman in basketball and three-year letterman in football. During his basketball career Bill earned First Team M.C.A.U. All-Star Team honors, was captain of the team his senior season, and held the record for most points scored in one season. In his football days Bill only lost one game, and tied one game over a three-year career.
Following graduation Bill played four-years for the Phillips Sixty-Sixers nationally famous AAU basketball team, and participated in the 1952 Olympic Basketball Trials.
Bill is presently employed as Executive Vice-President of the Permian Corporation in Midland, Texas, and has been a member of the Missouri Valley College Board of Trustees since 1974.
Bill appeared in Ripley’s Believe It or Not after playing a football game in the Refrigerator Bowl and at that conclusion of the game immediately traveled 150 miles to play in a basketball game against Washington University.
