Lawrence “Larry” Fields came to Missouri Valley College in 1946. At MVC, Larry played football for three years, and was a member of the M.C.A.U. conference champion team. At MVC, Larry was involved in Alpha Phi Omega, the Dramatic Art Club, Alpha Psi Omega, and the Varsity Letterman’s Club (V-Club).

After graduating from MVC in 1950 with a bachelor’s degree in speech and English education, Larry served for the U.S. Coast Guard in World War II. Later, he pursued a 30-year career as an educator and coach.
