Bio
John graduated from Missouri Valley College in 1950 with his Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. After five years of teaching and coaching at Westport High School in Kansas City, John returned to Missouri Valley College as an assistant coach and professor. John went on to become the Vikings head coach in basketball, track and field, and golf.
John entered Missouri Valley College in 1946 and played on four M.C.A.U. Conference Championship football teams. John was also a member of the football teams that were part of the longest winning streak in the nation at 41 games, and won the Small College National Championship. John played in five bowl games and earned First-Team All-Conference honors in 1949.
John received his Master’s Degree in Education in 1955 from Central Missouri State University and earned his Doctorate in Education from Colorado State College (Greely) in 1959.
From 1959 to 1966 Dr. Hunt was Director of Educational Services at Boulder Valley Public Schools. John went on to the University of Montana-Missoula as a professor, teaching from 1972 to 1986.
