Bio
Greg Farris a Louisiana, Missouri native graduated from Missouri Valley College in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Relations. During his football career (1972-1976), Greg was an outstanding running back known to many as “Mo Mo”. Greg finished 2nd in total rushing yards (1023), touchdowns (9), and points scored in 1973 for MVC. During the 1974 season, Greg rushed for over 1200 yards and finished with 16 touchdowns. In 1975, he rushed for 983 yards, with 9 touchdowns. Greg was also voted Co-Captain, Most Valuable Player, and Best Offensive Back the same year by his teammates. In his career, he finished with 3309 rushing yards, scored 204 total points, and scored 35 touchdowns. (MVC record at that time) He was a three-time All-Conference, All-District and a two-time Honorable Mention All-American running back. In 1976 he was an assistant coach for Coach Ken Gibler. Greg retired from the United States Army in 1994 and is currently a caseworker for St. Charles County. When asked what influenced him the most at MVC, he replied, “No one person or thing influenced me, but the ambiance called “Valley” has left an impression on me that I carry to this day”.
