Bio

George graduated from Missouri Valley College in 1962 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education of Math and Science.  George graduated from Marshall High School in 1958, during his time at Marshall High he was a three-year letterman in football, four-year letterman in track, and participated in FFA, basketball, and baseball.

During his time at Valley George was a member of the student senate, was a three-year letterman in football, two-year letterman in track, and was a member of the Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity.  In 1972, George earned his Masters Degree in Instructional Media Technology from Central Missouri State University, and has additional graduate hours from the University of Missouri-Columbia.  George taught math and science for Marshall Public Schools for 29 years, retiring in 1993.  George has also been an instructor at the Marshall Area Vocational Technical School, night instructor at Missouri Valley College, and during 1992-94 was an Associate Professor at Missouri Valley College, and has served as President of the Alumni Association of Missouri Valley College.  In 1995 George received the Outstanding Alumni honor, and is presently a member of the Missouri Valley College Board of Trustees.

In 1975 George and his wife Betty started Polynesian Pool by Clemens, which has involved into Clemens Pool ā€˜nā€™ Spa, of which he now serves as CEO.  George enjoys spending time eating out with family and friends, working with flowers, and working on his farms.  George married to Betty Steinkuhler of Sweet Springs, September 3, 1960, and has three children and five grandchildren.
