Bio
A native of Marshall, Donald graduated from Marshall High School in 1948, and entered the United States Marine Corps before attending Missouri Valley College.
Donald played a vital role for Coach Volney Ashford’s football teams as a rough and tough lineman for the Vikings during the early 1950’s. Donald graduated from Missouri Valley College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education.
Following graduation from Missouri Valley College Donald coached and taught at Slater, Versailles, and Berkley in the St. Louis area. Donald also went on to earn his Master Degree from Northeast Missouri State University in Kirksville.
Donald retired from teaching and coaching in 1985 and went on to become the builder/owner/operator of the Cedar Ridge Campground at the Bennett Springs State Park in Lebanon, MO. Donald is also a licensed commercial pilot and flight instructor and is a charter pilot at Lambert Field in St. Louis. Donald has over 10,000 hours of flight time.
