Bio
Dennis Rohr was a mainstay on the offensive line for the Missouri Valley College football team in the early 1990’s under Head Coach Greg Purdum, culminating with a conference championship his senior season.
Rohr made an impact on the offensive line his freshman season in 1991, earning a letter, and a selection to the Heart of America Athletic Conference All-Conference team, as an honorable mention choice. He followed with another successful 1992 season, moving up to a second team all-conference selection. In 1993, as a junior, he anchored an offensive line that helped produce nearly 31 points per game, achieveing first team all-conference honors. His career at Missouri Valley finished in 1994, but not before leading an offensive line that led the team to a conference title. The 1994 team averaged nearly 37 points per game in the regular season, capturing a conference title and making an appearance in the NAIA playoffs, both for the first time since 1989. Rohr finished the historic season named the team’s Offensive Lineman MVP, a first team all-conference selection for the second-straight season, and an NAIA All-American.
Rohr was also named Mr. Viking in 1995. After graduation, he became a fireman in Columbia, Mo., and is now a Lieutenant in the department.
