Bio

Charles graduated from Missouri Valley College in 1924 and taught in public schools and coached for a number of years.

1n 1938 this Marshall native established the Possumnect Stables where he raised, trained, and showed Tennessee Walking Horses until his retirement in 1971.

Charles has also been the Vice-President of Attala National Bank, on the Board of Directors for the Mississippi Chemical Corporation, President of the Mississippi Cattleman’s Association, Honorary Colonel on the Governor’s staff, on the Board of Directors for the Natchez Trace Savings and Loan, and on the Board of Directors for the American Public Life Insurance Company of Mississippi.
