Bio

Carl Douglas Fenstermacher, Jr., led the Missouri Valley men's soccer program to back-to-back Heart of America Athletic Conference regular season championships in 1992 and 1993. He scored 14 goals in the 1992 season helping the team to a 14-4-2 record and a semifinal appearance in the NAIA District 16 playoffs. In 1993, Carl scored a career-high 16 goals leading the team to a 14-6-2 record and to the District 16 quarterfinals. In his senior campaign, Carl scored 15 goals leading the Vikings to a 10-win season. He was an all-region and all-conference selection from 1992-1994 and was a two-time All-American selection in 1993 and 1994.

Carl graduated from Missouri Valley with a bachelor's of science degree in business. After graduating, he played one year of professional soccer in St. Louis. Carl is married to Tami (Fleck) Fenstermacher, who graduated in 1994. The couple have two children, Doug (12) and Alexis (10). Carl currently works in IT.


Carl credits his soccer head coach Carl Hutter as someone who greatly influenced him while at Missouri Valley. He credits Hutter as a mentor in his life, and someone who instilled great values, hard work, honesty and leadership.
