Bio

Bruce G. Beyer is a 1977 Graduate of Missouri Valley College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Chemistry. He was selected Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities in 1977, and was a Deans Honor Student several semesters. Bruce was a member and officer of Tri Beta Biological honor society, the all campus judicial board, and as a Sigma Nu he was voted outstanding Sigma Nu in 1976. While at Valley Bruce was Co-Captain of the 1976 Viking Football Team and was elected Most Valuable Player that same year. He was named First Team All-District, All-Heart of America Athletic Conference in 1975 & 1976 and Honorable Mention NAIA All-American Defensive End 1975 and First Team NAIA All-American Defensive End 1976.
He was also a letterman in Track and Field competing in the Javelin Throw. In business, Bruce started his career in management with Wilson Foods of Marshall, MO as a Section Forman before leaving for a position with Hallmark Cards in Kansas City. There, Bruce managed several departments including a Solvent Recover, Ink Manufacturing, Color Engineering, and Quality Assurance Lab. Bruce received his MBA from Rockhurst University in Kansas City in 1988. Bruce currently holds the position of Vice President of Technical Development for the Gravure Association of America and works out of his home in Speegleville, Texas. This year Bruce was inducted into the Cylinder Society (a graphic arts honor society for the gravure industry). Twice a year Bruce teaches Basic Gravure seminar at Western Michigan University. When asked who influenced him the most at Valley, he replied, “Ken Gibler and Grover Redford; they taught me the importance integrity, discipline and hard work.”
