Bio
Brian Clayton, a 1990 graduate, played football and ran track for the Vikings. He earned varsity letters in track and football in 1987, 1988, and 1989. Brian was voted Mr. Viking during his senior year. In 1989, he was selected as an NAIA All-American running back, Heart of America Athletic Conference first-team running back, All-District first team running back, and the Heart of America Athletic Conference Player of the Year. Brian led the nation his senior year in scoring with 31 touchdowns.
In 1988, Brian qualified for the NAIA national indoor track and field championships and won Heart of America Athletic Conference honors for the triple jump, pole vault, and long jump. In 1989, he was an NAIA national qualifier for both the indoor and outdoor track and field national championships. Brian was an All-Conference triple jumper and pole vaulter that same year.
While at Valley, Brian was a member of the V-Club and Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity.
Brian and his wife Mitzi reside in Columbia, Missouri where he is a home school communicator for the Columbia Public School District.
