Bio

Bobby Lashley came to Missouri Valley College in 1995. While at MVC, he was a member of the Viking men’s wrestling team. Bobby was a four-time all-American, a three-time NAIA National Champion, a three-year team captain, and tallied a 144-26 career record. Bobby currently holds the MVC school record for most career takedowns with 520.

Bobby graduated from Missouri Valley College in 1999 with a degree in human service agency management. He was inducted as a team member into the MVC Athletic Hall of Fame in 2006 and again in 2007 for the accomplishments of the 1996 and 1997 NAIA National Champion MVC wrestling teams.

After college Bobby served in the United States Army and continued to wrestle for the military where in 2002 he became a CISM Military World Championship Senior Freestyle Silver Medalist. Bobby continued to train and earn several accolades including placing twice at the US Senior National Championship, and a third place finish at the 2003 World Team Trials. While training for the Olympics in 2003, Bobby suffered a knee injury, ending his hopes for an Olympic appearance in 2004.

Following his stint in the army, Bobby began his career in the entertainment business. In 2005 he made his television debut as a member of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). After five years with the WWE, Bobby left the daily entertainment business to begin his career in Mixed Martial Arts where he is currently 6-1.

Some of Bobby’s other career accomplishments include launching Lashley Nutrition Network, opening his own America Top Team gym, founding Lashley Management which promotes mixed martial arts fights, and appearing in several movies including; Way of War, Walk-Ins Welcome, Beat Down, and Blood Out.

In his free time, Bobby enjoys staying physically fit and playing with his kids.

Bobby has three children: daughter Kyra who is six; son Miles who is three; and daughter Naomi who is four months.

When asked who influenced him the most at Missouri Valley College, Bobby said, “My coach and team of positive, success-driven men.”
