Bio

Beau Vest came to Missouri Valley College in 1996. He was a member of the men’s wrestling program, earning numerous accolades. Vest was a four-time NAIA all-American, a three-time National finalist, an individual National champion in 1996, and was a member of both the 1996 and 1997 National championship teams. He was also a member of V-Club.

Beau graduated from MVC in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and secondary education. He is currently the head men’s and women’s wrestling coach at Midland University in Fremont, Neb. Beau restarted the men’s wrestling program at Midland in 2010 and started the women’s program in 2011. During his tenure at Midland, Beau has twice been named the Conference Coach of the Year, (2009 and 2010) and was named Region Coach of the Year in 2012. Beau remains an active supporter of the MVC men’s wrestling program.

Beau says his teammates and coaches at MVC were the most influential people during his time in college. “I was very lucky to be surrounded by a group of people that believed in me and what our program could be. I will always be thankful to Coach Machholz for allowing me to be a part of the Missouri Valley wrestling program,” Beau said.

Beau resides in Fremont, Neb., with his wife, Jennifer, and their two daughters, Maile and Madilyn.
