Marshall, Mo., (April 3, 2025)- The Missouri Valley College cheer team has put two of its student-athletes on the 2025 NAIA Competitive Cheer All-America Team, including the NAIA Cheerleader of the Year.

Leading the selections is Sophomore Carter McCourt (Bristol, Ind.) who was named the NAIA Competitive Cheerleader of the Year, becoming the first cheerleader in program-history to earn the award.  In addition to the individual award, McCourt was also named a first team All-American.  McCourt was also named the Heart of America Athletic Conference Cheerleader of the Year, last month.

Also earning All-American honors is Freshman Hailey Stephenson (Las Vegas, Nev.), who was second team selection.

The Missouri Valley cheer team earned a ninth-straight berth into the NAIA Competitive Cheer National Championship, and placed ninth overall with a final score of 86.74.  This is the eighth time the team has finished in the top ten at the National championship.
