Cheer Team Set For NAIA National Championship

Ypsilanti, Mich., (March 27, 2025)- The Missouri Valley College cheer team is set for the 2025 NAIA Competitive Cheer National Championship, taking place Friday and Saturday in Ypsilanti, Mich.  The Vikings will compete against 14 other programs at the event.

 

Missouri Valley is making a ninth-straight appearance at the National championship event after earning an at-large berth following the Heart of America Athletic Conference Championship.

 

The Viking cheer team finished the regular season with an average score of 87.22, with a season-best score of 91.55 at the Concordia (Neb.) Day of Duals.  Missouri Valley is one of only six programs in the NAIA to qualify for all nine National championship events held by the organization.  The program has seven finishes in the top 10 at the National competition, and captured a National title in 2018.

 

Preliminary round performances begin Friday evening.  Missouri Valley will perform in the cheer preliminary round at 6:20 p.m. (Central).  The final round of performances will be Saturday beginning at 1 p.m. (Central).  The 2025 NAIA Competitive Cheer National Championship is hosted by Eastern Michigan in Ypsilanti, Mich.
