
Cheer Earns Berth Into NAIA National Championship
Marshall, Mo., (March 17, 2025)- The Missouri Valley College cheer team has earned a berth into the 2025 NAIA Competitive Cheer National Championship, taking place at the end of the month.
The Viking cheer team earned an at-large berth into the 15-team field, and will compete for an NAIA National Championship. Missouri Valley was the runner-up at the Heart of America Athletic Conference championship, and received one of the five at-large selections into the National championship.
Missouri Valley is one of six programs in the NAIA to qualify for all nine NAIA National championship competitions, winning a National title at the 2018 championship. Joining the Vikings from the Heart of America Athletic Conference is Grand View (Iowa).
Missouri Valley sits at tenth in the season-long standings, having earned an average score of 87.22 in six scored competitions. The team's best score on the season came at the Concordia (Neb.) Day of Duals, with a 91.55 in a dual against Doane (Neb.).
The 2025 NAIA Competitive Cheer National Championship takes place March 28-29 in Ypsilanti, Mich. The preliminary round will be March 28, followed by the final performance, March 29.
