
Men's Volleyball Moves to No. 11 in Latest Coaches' Poll
Marshall, Mo., (March 5, 2024)- The Missouri Valley College men's volleyball team remains Nationally ranked in the latest NAIA Men's Volleyball Coaches' Top 15 Poll, released Wednesday.
Missouri Valley jumped up one spot from the previous coaches' poll, and is ranked No. 11. The team went 3-0 during the latest ratings period, with sweeps of Kansas Wesleyan and Health Sciences & Pharmacy (Mo.), along with a four-game win at Ottawa (Kan.).
A total of six teams from the Heart are featured in the preseason poll. Missouri Baptist is up to No. 4, Grand View (Iowa) fell to No. 6, Mount Mercy (Iowa) climbed to No. 7, Park (Mo.) dropped to No. 9, and William Penn (Iowa) joined the coaches' poll at No. 15. Missouri Valley is 1-2 on the season against ranked teams, defeating No. 10 Benedictine Mesa (Ariz.), with losses to No. 4 MBU and No. 7 Park.
The Vikings are 7-2 overall and 3-2 in the Heart. Up next are two matches on the road against Nationally ranked opponents. Missouri Valley plays at No. 15 William Penn Friday at 7 p.m., followed by a Saturday match at No. 6 Grand View at 1 p.m.
