New Dance Team Leadership Announced
Marshall, Mo., (Jan. 23, 2025)- The Missouri Valley College Athletic Department is pleased to announce new leadership for the competitive dance program. Some familiar faces already have begun working with the team and recruiting.
Athletic Director Scott Queen said Thursday that the interim head coach is Riley Jefferson, who has led the program in the past. Alongside Jefferson is interim assistant coach Kristen Revis, a veteran dance coach from the St. Louis area.
"We're excited about the opportunities to grow the program with these two individuals," Queen said. "They are very focused on providing an exceptional experience for their student-athletes. Their hearts are in the right place."
Jefferson is a Valley alumna and coached the team from 2022-2024. She will continue working in the admissions department at MVC, where she specializes in online and graduate enrollment.
Revis is a former head coach and founder of the Lindenwood University Golden Line dance team, and she served as an assistant coach at Whitfield and Marquette high schools. She has a master's and a bachelor's degree, and earned her Ed Specialist degree in 2016.
