Football Student-Athlete Earns Weekly Heart Award

Marshall, Mo., (Nov. 11, 2024)- A Missouri Valley College football student-athlete has earned a weekly award from the Heart of America Athletic Conference for his play in Saturday's home win over William Woods (Mo.).

 

Freshman Kicker Bruno Kincaid (Spain) has been named the Heart Special Teams Player of the Week, presented by Musco, for his play in the 35-3 win over William Woods.  Kincaid made all five extra-point attempts in the game, and successfully kicked and recovered an onside kick at a crucial moment in the third quarter of Saturday's game.

 

So far this season, Kincaid has made 15 of 16 extra-point attempts, and five field goals.  His long field goal of the season is 45 yards, and Kincaid has 30 points scored.  Kincaid joins teammate Sophomore Running Back Tavion Campbell (St. Louis, Mo.) as a weekly award winner in the Heart. Campbell won the special teams award back on Sept. 30.

 

The Viking football team is 4-5 on the season and 2-4 in the Heart South Division.  The final game of the 2024 season is Saturday, as the team hosts William Penn (Iowa) for Senior Day.   Kickoff inside Volney C. Ashford Stadium is 1 p.m.
