Warren Dew enters the Missouri Valley College Athletic Hall of Fame as a championship baseball coach. Warren coached the Viking baseball program to Heart of America Athletic Conference championships in both 1972 and 1973, and was named the conference’s Coach of the Year in both of those seasons. In addition to his success as baseball coach, Dew was tasked with reviving the school’s men’s wrestling program in the early 1970’s. Warren was also a well-respected professor in the Physical Education Department, arriving on campus in 1971.
Following his tenure at Missouri Valley, in the late 1970’s, Warren began work at Nautilus, in DeLand, Fla., working with the company’s founder, Arthur Jones. He oversaw the company’s manufacturing plant until the early 1980’s. In 1991, Warren started his own company, Central States Fitness, and retired in 2013.
