Bio

Steve graduated from Missouri Valley College in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation.  During his tenure at Missouri Valley, Steve was a track and field standout.  In 1973 and 1974 he was chosen as team captain and held the conference record in the 60-yard dash.  Concurrently, he was the co-record holder of the College’s 60-yard and 100-yard dash.  In 1974 Steve was selected as the Most Valuable Track and Field Athlete at the Washington University Relays.

In 1987, Steve returned to Valley as head coach of the track and field program.  Rom 1994 to 1996 he was the Head Olympic Track and Field Coach for the country of Bahrain.  Steve returned to Valley in 1996 when he undertook another two year coaching stint.  In his coaching career he has coached 122 collegiate track and field All-American athletes, four NCAA Division III National Champions, and had tow NCAA Division III national runner-up teams.

Steve resides in Kansas City, Missouri where he coaches and teaches in the Independence School District.
