Ron graduated from Missouri Valley College in 1964.  During his time at Valley Ron was a leader and active participant in student life.  Ron earned three letters as a member of the Viking football team, participated on the track team, and was a member of V-Club.

Presently Ron is the co-owner of Viking Athletic Goods in downtown Marshall.  As a member of the community Ron is a member and part-president of the Quarterback Club, board member of the Marshall Owls Booster Club, Marshall baseball Commissioner, Marshall Park Board, Ducks Unlimited, Marshall Bass Club, and has served as a scout leader for two years.

Ron and his wife Mary Lou (MVC 1964) have two sons.
