Bio
Moses Regular, Jr., was a successful two-sport athlete during his time at Missouri Valley College, exceeding in both football and track and field. Moses was a four-year letterman in both sports, but stood out most for his play on the football field. Moses played for the Viking football program from 1992-1995 and helped the team to a Heart of America Athletic Conference championship and NAIA Football Championship Series appearance in 1994. In addition to the team’s success, Moses was placed on the Heart All-Conference First Team following the 1993, 1994 and 1995 seasons. Moses was also a first team All-American following the 1995 season. Following his collegiate playing career, Moses enjoyed one of the longest professional playing careers for a former member of the Viking football program, playing on two continents. In 1996, Moses was picked up as a free agent by the New York Giants, appearing for the team in games that season. Following his time with the Giants, Moses traveled overseas, and played in NFL Europe. In 1998, he played for the Frankfurt Galaxy. The Galaxy finished on top of the league standings that year, and played in the World Bowl, losing to the Rhein Fire. After his season in NFL Europe, Moses returned to the United States, and spent seven more years playing professional indoor football, through 2006.
Since retiring from professional football, Moses settled in the St. Louis, Mo., area and has
spent time teaching and coaching football and track. His former coach, Greg Purdum, said
that Moses was one of those exceptional players that didn’t belong playing in the Heart,
because his level of play was so much above everyone else in the conference. Purdum also
adds that Moses has been a leader by example and would bring up the level of play with those
around him.
