Bio

Floyd graduated from Missouri Valley College in 1911, nicknamed “Goldie” he played left end for the Viking football team earning a letter in 1910.

Floyd attended the Missouri Valley Academy from 1904 to 1907 and Missouri Valley College from 1907 to 1911.

Following graduation Floyd attended the Louisville Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.  Floyd earned his Master of Arts Degree in Sociology from the University of Missouri in 1926.

Floyd taught at Searle School (a two room country school in Malta Bend) for several years.  Floyd occasionally acts as a lay minister, but spent the greater part of his life living on his farm northwest of Marshall.
